Do you know what an "IDOL" is? And a "COSPLAYER"?
Before meeting Eleonora Guglielmi, alias "Yuriko Tiger", I knew very little about it, but spending a couple of days in Tokyo with her were enough to discover a whole world!
Yuriko is the most famous international cosplayer in Japan and she agreed to take me for a walk around Akihabara, a Paradise for those who love anime, manga, and videogames.
She told me that she was able to fulfill her dream here in Japan: to become an "idol" and work professionally as a cosplayer. At the end of the day, I followed her in one of her fan meetings, and it's right there that I got to know better Eleonora, and not Yuriko.
Every one of us wear a mask in the everyday life, there're some that do this willingly like Yuriko, and those that don't even realize it, but like Eleonora says: "the most important thing is to be happy even without the disguise".
