One of the most popular tails in Arches National Park is the Wolf Ranch/Delicate Arch Trail. The overall trail is 3 miles (4.8K) round trip rated by the National Park as a difficult hike. It has a net elevation gain of 480 feet with very little shade. Elevation is somewhere around 5,000 feet above sea level so if you're used to lower elevations, this could be a factor as well. Make sure you come prepared with good hiking shoes, walking sticks (if you need the additional stability) and plenty of water. When I did the hike back in 2015 It was early October and I had a small bottle of water. This time it was early June and I had a 2 liter Camelbak Water pack and Dawn had a 1.5 liter Camelbak. SUNSCREEN or protective clothing or both! Don’t forget your hat.

I hope you enjoy this part of our experience..

Safe Travels!
