Born from an unexpected and traumatic incident, the Mzansi Youth Choir made history on "America's Got Talent" by receiving the audience's first-ever golden buzzer for their moving tribute to former contestant Nightbirde.

From their local community in Soweto to the grand stages of the world, the Mzansi Youth Choir has shown what young talent, nurtured and guided, could achieve. But the choir's journey was far from over and took a significant turn in 2023 when they auditioned for season 18 of America’s Got Talent.

Dressed in all-white, the group gave a tear-jerking rendition of former AGT contestant Nightbirde’s “It’s OK.” for their AGT audition

For their semifinal performance, The choir performed Fleetwood's Mac's 1987 hit "Everywhere".

Having secured a spot in the finale, the Mzansi Youth Choir looks forward to their next performance.
