In this video, I tell you why my number-one go-to thrush treatment for horses is Desitin diaper rash cream. You can buy the generic stuff for cheaper, and I always get it in the squirt tube so you can squirt it right into the central sulcus of the hoof. Also, make sure you get the extra strength version, which is usually in the purple packaging.

Desitin diaper rash cream is my go-to treatment, remedy and prevention for thrush, because it's antifungal, antibacterial and it creates a moisture barrier. If you're dealing with thrush, you're probably also fighting pretty moist conditions, and this stuff helps to keep the area dry, so that's a very important part of fighting thrush!
