ICDI Students Named Runners-up at Huawei ICT Competition 2023 - 2024
in the Global Final Round in the Innovation Track Category

Students from the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI) were named runners-up at the Huawei ICT Competition 2023 - 2024 in the Innovation Track Category. The team consisted of Ms. Kornkamol Liebsuetragul, Ms. Witchavee Noinivorn and Miss Kammaporn Kangwalwattanasiri and was supervised by Dr. Naret Suyarot. They represented Thailand at the Huawei ICT Competition 2023-2024 in the Global Final Round held between May 23 – 26, 2024, at the Huawei Headquarters in Shenzhen, China, and were awarded the 2nd Prize in the Innovation Track Category for their project titled ‘LARY Voice Detector’, which is an application prototype for voice quality measurement, pronunciation practice, and pronunciation guidance based on academic theories, allowing patients to test their voice before receiving speech therapy. Powered by Huawei Cloud ModelArts, the app draws data from the patient’s voice and creates a voice classification model that distinguishes between normal and hoarse voices, as well as showing the voice quality result in percentages.

The Huawei ICT Competition 2023 – 2024 featured 160 teams from 49 countries and the Innovation Track’s Global Final saw contestants representing various countries, such as Brunei, Laos, the Philippines, Pakistan, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Türkiye, Greece, South Africa, Morocco, Ghana, Brazil and Colombia. The International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI) strives to foster digital innovation skills to students and promote their participation in national and global competitions, such as hackathons and business pitching, to enhance their experience and motivation to launch future international start-ups.
