I'm currently running a crafting challenge on my discord - the theme is "Kinda wet" (or "mostly moist", if you prefer). Since I've been wanting to play some naval games for some time an ocean battlemat seemed like a good idea at the time.

This mat is also usable in other miniatures games - put down some tiles and walkways, and you have a perfectly servicable dock, quay or beach. And like the other battlemats I made, this one can be rolled up for easy storage when it's not in use!

This turned out to be a fast, easy craft, and there's something cathartic about just splooshing around acrylic with your hands.

Maybe now I will get around to painting those On The Seven Seas minis I have sitting around...
