Jerry Lee puts his indelible impression on the Roy Orbison penned song So Long I'm Gone. There is a major discrepancy in the Sun catalog which lists a demo of the song having been recorded by Ray Scott at the label in 1956 in which Ray Scott is given credit as the songs writer. The official copyright records show Roy Orbison as the songs sole writer and was issued on 04-29-1957. The most famous version of the song was recorded by Warren Smith and released on Sun 268 also in 1957.
