The first time I listened to Dune's soundtrack, I was absolutely blown away by the scale of the score. The sounds felt huge and heavy and alien. Ever since the first movie came out, I always wanted to try to recreate a piece of the score. This is a part of a track called Paul's Dream. I knew it was nearly impossible to make the exact sounds from the track because movie scores (specially this big and creative) are usually made in very professional studios with a lot of equipment, professional players and sometimes unconventional instruments. Also, the music usually goes through various stages of production and a whole team of people work on it. Whereas here in my case, I was limited to my DAW and an old laptop that can't even play the track if there are more than 4-5 synths in the project. That's just "too heavy" for it and the CPU goes crazy. So what I did here was, I tried not to get too crazy with the sound design and just create a simpler electronic version of the track, while trying maintain a reasonable similarity to the vibe of the original track.
In order to make the track sound more tolerable, I just made most of the sounds in different projects (so I could be a little bit freer and take a few steps more on each sound) and then saved the samples and used them in the main project.
So anyways, I hope I did an okay job. Let me know what you think in the comments and if you like the content pls consider subscribing to the channel.

Also I don't know how copyright works for these things but the rights to the original soundtrack is probably owned by Hans Zimmer and Warner Brothers Studios. This is just a remake.
Cheers!
