The Ganapati Atharva Shirsha, also known as the Ganapati Upanishad, is a Sanskrit text dedicated to Lord Ganesha. It is a part of the Atharvaveda, and holds significant spiritual and philosophical importance in Hinduism. It glorifies Lord Ganesha as the supreme reality, beyond worldly appearances.

The text consists of 12 sections, each focusing on different aspects of Lord Ganesha's qualities and symbolism. It describes Ganesha as the embodiment of wisdom (Buddhi) and bliss (Sukha), the creator of the universe, and the one who sustains and dissolves it. The Atharvashirsha emphasizes the omnipresence and omnipotence of Ganesha, portraying him as the ultimate Brahman (cosmic consciousness) itself. Chanting or reciting this Upanishad is believed to invoke Ganesha's blessings, dispel ignorance, and lead one towards spiritual enlightenment. It serves not only as a devotional text but also as a profound philosophical treatise on the nature of divinity and the universe within Hinduism.
