One place that has been on my bucket list was the Wheeler Shale Amphitheater in the remote desert region of Utah to search for trilobites. The Wheeler Shale is a 500 million year old (Cambrian) fossil locality that is world famous for its prolific trilobite fossils. My first day at the site included backpacking into the base of Swasey Peak to explore the rock formations of the House Range Mountains. The following day I visited “U-Dig Fossils” quarry. For a fee, you can dig in their trilobite-rich quarry by the hour. I brought home 4 complete trilobite fossils in addition to many partial trilobites. Both Swasey Peak and U-DIG Fossils quarry is located approximately 180 miles southwest from Salt Lake City. If you are into fossil hunting and love remote scenic mountains, this is the place for you. Please note that you can watch this trip, in addition to all of my adventures (currently 54 videos) on YouTube by subscribing to my free channel at:    / @joseph_wright  . Love to all, Joe
