NOTE "Life Without Lack" is a book put together from lessons that Dallas taught to a small group of believers back in 1991 . Larry Burtoft a member of the group, committed himself to put those lessons together as a book, with help from Dallas' daughter, Becky Willard Heatley. Thank you, Larry Burtoft!!

A few nuggets:

"It is essential at the start to notice that we are dealing with "death to self, not death of self. The distinction between these two prepositions is vital to maintain. Death to self is not ultimately a negation, but a rising up into the very life of God."

~

"(Jesus) knew firsthand what it was to die to self, and the choice represented his obedience to this fundamental biblical teaching: "Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but *if it dies, it produces much grain*". The positive aspect of 'if it dies' is that it 'produces much grain". The death he chose was for the sins of the world. It was not just to lose life, but also to give life."

I will be posting an introduction of Dallas Willard soon. Stay tuned!
