This time I made an alcohol jet stove gadget. An alcohol jet stove is a stove in which alcohol is vaporized and pressurized in a coiled copper pipe, and is jetted vigorously from the outlet to create a jet-like flame. Using steel cans, tin cans, etc., I finished it so that it could be expanded from the storage of the alcohol stove to the cooking stove.

[Materials for jet stoves]

・Tin cans for ashtrays from 100-yen shops

・S&B curry powder steel can

・Copper pipe diameter 5mm,

・Solder, flux

・Hemp string

・Stainless steel rod diameter 3mm

・Soldering iron, pipes for bending copper pipes, etc.

[Points of DIY jet stove]

・Since it is shaped to separate the ignition point of the alcohol outlet and the alcohol container, it can be used more safely and securely.

・The joints of the container containing the alcohol were filled with solder so that the alcohol would not leak.

・Do not make the string that goes into the copper pipe tight, and allow the alcohol to flow as much as possible. the length of the cord
It is not necessary to pass it through the entire pipe, and it can be in front of the bent coil.

・If the alcohol outlet is too small, the flow rate of the alcohol is too fast and the flame cannot be completely formed.
Make a small hole and gradually enlarge it to make adjustments. This time, I adjusted it by 1.4mm.

・The coiled copper pipe is preheated and ignited, but a saucer (commercially available drink lid) is placed under the alcohol outlet and alcohol is poured in and preheated.

[■Others]

・Since the fire point and the alcohol container are relatively far apart, the alcohol container side will be hot, but you can touch it with your hands.

・Do not close the lid of the alcohol container completely after pouring. Since the container and the lid are tightly sealed, air cannot enter the container, resulting in a misfire. Cover loosely with a lid so that air can enter properly.
