In case someone does not remembers, the villans used a device that turned them into kids for the kindergarten scenes. They were not of the same age as Kim at that moment.

Season 2 continues the work that started on Season 1, but there are now more (and more clear) hints of something more developing in the background.
Something I noticed in the second season is that after "A sitch in time" there are several episodes where Ron is captured or for some reason, Kim has to go rescue him. So Kim is constantly "losing him" for one reason or the other.
