Girl Jam and Gents Jazz are annual events in London devoted entirely to jazz roots and solo movement.

We love solo dancing. Our major inspiration is Jazz dancing of the Swing Era. Our aim is to help you develop confidence in solo dance, awareness of your body movement and rhythm. We believe that working on your solo movement in this way will help you better express yourself to music in not just in solo but also partner dancing.

We hold workshops throughout the year but once a year, in March we invite one inspirational teacher to come and teach alongside locals teachers for our main weekend. We also invite dancers from a range of fields to come and teach tasters to teach different styles of movement and technique.
