An initial overview of the twelve senses as described by Rudolf Steiner. This talk introduces participatory research, or phenomenology as underpinning Rudolf Steiners anthroposophy as a theory of knowledge. This can be considered in relation to the observation of the sense perceptible world as well as so-called supersensible reality.

We then look at the twelve senses, their division into three groups of four, and the sensory archetype of each.

We then look at some other organisations of the senses using the insights and language of Anthroposophy.

Finally we look at the potential attribution of the senses to the fixed stars or zodiac, and how we can work with the zodiac alongside our journey through the senses.

The Christian Community Ireland is part of a movement for religious renewal started in the 1920s in Germany. The founding priests asked for advice from the philosopher, seer and esotericist Dr. Rudolf Steiner. To this day The Christian Community is inspired by the renewal of Christianity as a mystery tradition and the esoteric Christian insights of Rudolf Steiner and Anthroposophy.
