Today, there are roughly 4200 religions worldwide and about 85% of the world's population identifies with a religious group or belief. Throughout history, religion played an important role in the development of society and cultural traditions in general. Some theories suggest that the written history of religion (scriptures, practices, ethical principals..etc) started 5000 years ago. In this video, we will be ranking the world's major religions from oldest to newest with brief info about each religion on this list.
