How to Winter Protect Plants in Containers - In this video I go over how I decide how much protection to give plants in my area. Some plants can simply be left out and watered occasionally, while others need minor or major protection. Those of you in zone 5 or colder areas pretty much need to use a cold frame or garage for everything. The roots on most plants can't stay frozen for a month straight and survive. If it goes straight to super cold before plants are fully dormant, they do need protection from that.
