Not quite sure how it's even possible that our fifth graders of the PS22 Chorus of 2023 are graduating this morning! Flooded with emotions today - admittedly a bit melancholy at their departure, but so overwhelmingly proud and blown away by their accomplishments. This year was such a joy and the kids were so prolific, banging out one fabulous performance after the next.

So today we proudly present this year's graduation song, courtesy of Black Eyed Peas , Shakira, David Guetta, with even a little Bob Marley thrown in at the end for good measure which contributed to some KILLER four part a cappella harmonies that the kids executed like the pros they've become over the course of this short school year! With that said, tomorrow will be our final chorus practice. Lisa and I always like to take the time to share some of your kind words at our farewell rehearsals. So please, if you will, join me in the comment section in thanking these extraordinary children, letting them know how much we appreciate their efforts and generosity of spirit, and wishing them well on the next step in their journey....

P.S. For our long time chorus fans, if the drummer looks familiar, that's because it's 2012 PS22 Chorus legend, Daniel-san, who not only fielded the kit for this performance (and back in the day), but even helped improve my arrangement by throwing in an extra harmony for the altos that they learned on the spot! It should also be mentioned, that in addition to his brilliant musical skills, Daniel is now in medical school and continuing to make us all EXTREMELY proud!!
