Geological prospecting requires different details depending on the rock type, with stratigraphy and structural geology being crucial for understanding lithological unit continuity. Integrating geological and hydrological methods, along with remote sensing data, can identify fracture patterns and other key features for groundwater studies. The lecture emphasizes the importance of considering factors like weathering, mineralogical composition, and the attitude of rocks (dip and strike) in groundwater exploration. Such comprehensive geological and hydrological investigations enhance the prediction and management of groundwater resources.
