The series centers on Los Angeles Police Department Sergeant Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson (Shemar Moore). A lifelong Los Angeles local and former Marine, Hondo has been tapped to lead a new "last stop" Special Weapons and Tactics unit of the LAPD.
