Only Fools And Horses In Summary
Derek "Del Boy" Trotter (David Jason), a South London "fly" trader, lives in a council home in Nelson Mandela House, a high-rise tower block in Peckham, South London, with his much younger brother, Rodney (Nicholas Lyndhurst), and their old grandfather (Lennard Pearce).
Rodney's mother, Joan, died when he was young, and their father, Reg, fled shortly after, so Del became Rodney's surrogate father and the family patriarch. Despite their age, attitude, and worldview differences, the brothers maintain a consistent friendship throughout.
The scenario revolves mostly around their attempts to become millionaires through dubious get-rich-quick schemes and the purchase and sale of low-quality and illegal commodities. They have a three-wheeled Reliant Regal van and mostly operate as Trotters Independent Traders.
Initially, the only regulars were Del Boy, Rodney, and Grandad, with the occasional appearances of road sweeper Trigger (Roger Lloyd-Pack) and egotistical used car salesperson Boycie (John Challis). The cast grew over time, largely from regulars at the local tavern The Nag's Head. Pub proprietor Mike Fisher (Kenneth MacDonald), truck driver Denzil (Paul Barber), young spiv Mickey Pearce (Patrick Murray), and Boycie's flirty wife Marlene were among them (Sue Holderness). After actor Lennard Pearce died, Grandad's younger brother Uncle Albert (Buster Merryfield) appeared and moved in with Del and Rodney, becoming a main character.
