本田美奈子 Amazing Grace アメイジング・グレイス

本田 美奈子（1967年7月31日 - 2005年11月6日）は、日本の歌手、女優である。急性骨髄性白血病で38歳の若さで逝ってしまった。

作詞：ジョン・ニュートン (John Newton)

ジョン・ニュートンは、1725年生まれのイギリス人。奴隷貿易に手を染めていたが、後に敬虔なクリスチャンとなる。
最後の節はジョン・ニュートンの作ではなく、後世、他の作詞者が付け加えたものと言われる。また、現在の曲も後世に付けられたもの。

知らなかった。岩谷時子さんって作詞家だったのか？
