Why is our “health care” system still focused on sick care?
(And I’m not talking about acute and emergent diseases.) When you end up seriously ill in the hospital, you quickly feel trapped in an outdated delivery system. It is no longer about healing, but about damage control. You get bad/unhealthy food, rude (overworked) staff and you’re constantly confronted with obsolete/ weird regulations.
No doubt, the system is broken and once I get better I want to make a difference! We have to start focusing on lasting/ true health and disease prevention!
