A nice day in the bush west of Auckland, New Zealand. The Waitekere Ranges Regional Park is a massive area, and here I do a small-ish section that I can access by bus: between the lower Nihotupu dam and the Arataki Visitor Centre, also detouring to the Kauri Cathedral.

Got a chance to visit lovely Auckland back in June and seized the chance to do a couple of hikes near the city!

Getting here:
Take a bus from central Auckland to New Lynn station, from which the infrequent bus 171 connects you to Exhibition Drive. It is then a short walk to the Beveridge Track trailhead.
