Texas High School Football | Mansfield Timberview vs Dallas Kimball | 2024 Season Opener

MANSFIELD — Jaylon Woods ran for 135 yards and a touchdown, leading Mansfield Timberview to a 20-6 victory over Dallas Kimball Thursday night at Vernon Newsom Stadium.

Timberview opened its season with a touchdown on its first drive, as quarterback Mylez Davis found Kobe Gooden in the end zone for an 8-yard score.

After Kimball’s Caydan Sparks big hit, Davis left in the second quarter to injury. Timberview relied heavily on its run game, attempting only two passes the rest of the game while maintaining possession of the ball and chewing the clock.

Timberview’s defense shined throughout the game, allowing only 168 total yards of offense.

Quarterback Armirie Williams-Hall led Kimball with 142 total yards.

This game featured top D1 prospects in Mansfield Timberview three-star defensive lineman Dilan Battle, LSU commit. And two of the top safeties in the state in Timberview’s Nathan Tilmon and Kimball’s Juan-Milleon Aguilar both three-star recruits with double digit offer sheets.
