Hey everyone, I'm really excited to share this with you all. So, I've been doing this DIY keratin treatment at home since 2017, and let me tell you, it's been a lifesaver for my frizz-prone hair. But here's the thing, I took a whole year-long break between treatments this time around, and my hair is seriously crying out for some TLC.
I mean, dealing with this frizz and bushy hair in this humid weather has been a real struggle lately. So, I figured it's high time I give my hair the treatment it deserves and get back into my routine.
I put together this little video to walk you through exactly how I do it at home. It's been a game-changer for me in the past, so I figured, why not share the love again? The keratin that I'm using does NOT contain formaldehyde, like some of the other products so I feel safe using it regularly. I have naturally curly hair (2c) and super frizzy hair.

Humidity can wreak havoc on my hair post-blow drying – I'm sure many of you can relate. Then, I dive right into applying the keratin treatment, making sure to focus on those roots. It's all about the gloves, hair cap, and throwing on an old t-shirt to avoid any mess, trust me.

Unlike those salon treatments that take ages, this one's pretty quick and feels more like pampering myself with a hair mask. Oh, and I've picked up some nifty tricks along the way too, like starting near the ears for easy parting and using a plastic shower cap to keep everything locked in place.

Once the treatment's soaked in, I rinse it off with warm water – no need for shampoo, believe it or not. Then, it's time to dry and straighten with my trusty Dyson Airstrait. And let me tell you, the results? Absolutely sleek, zero frizz – even after sweating it out in the heat!

I'll definitely keep you all posted after the next wash to show you just how long-lasting this treatment is. But for now, I'm just over the moon to be back into my routine. Can't wait for you all to give it a try too!
