With more than 330 turtle species on planet earth, there is extreme variation when it comes to size, markings, color, habits and of course gender differentiation. Some species are blatantly sexually dimorphic meaning it's very easy to see who is the male and who is the female. In other cases, it's extremely difficult. In this video we start with the basics by taking a look at one tortoise species and one turtle species to find out how to separate male from female. Although there are exceptions with some species, especially obscure ones, the details in this video are easy to understand and will allow you to leave feeling more confident on the subject.
