Our first speaker for the Quarks to Quasars series is our very own Prof. Suresh Govindarajan from the Department of Physics, IIT Madras. One of the premier researchers of our country, Prof. Govindarajan is an active researcher in various fields of theoretical physics, including but not limited to buzzwords like String Theory, Quantum Gravity and Quantum Field Theory.

Of late, he has been working on mathematical physics, specifically on his project on the Partition Function, which is open for Undergraduate students as well. Addressing this project, the first talk of our series is titled "Undergraduate Research: Myth or Reality (A case study on the Partitions Project)."

For all those pondering over a career in research or simply curious about the topic at hand, do join us at 4 pm on Sunday, 19th July 2020.
