Byungman was Jin's elder in med school and they are old friends. (Byungman played with jin on law of the jungle if you are wondering where he is from)

All the medical information is correct. I researched for like 3hours trying to get all the facts straight. If you didn't understand, basically Tae was shot in the shoulder, but he'll be fine.
