At the end of August, we flew to Northern California to pick up our new puppy, a baby Keeshond. It was an incredible and memorable trip. To give you some context, Zan had always wanted his own dog, and after researching, we decided that a Keeshond was the right breed for our home and for Chia as a sister.

This was my first time picking up a posh pure breed like a Keeshond from a breeder. (I usually rescue, both Chia and my Toffa were oopsies babies and they're the best hehe.) We picked up our puppy from Keeshond Love after much consideration because we didn't want to purchase from a puppy mill or something awful like that.

Cindy and Erin at Keeshond Love were amazing. They love their dogs and even played classical music for the puppies to relax and enjoy. They also keep a separate air-conditioned area for their dogs so that the puppies and others never overheat. The amount of love we saw towards the dogs was super inspirational. They're definitely going above and beyond.

On the way back we drove through Sequoia National Park, which was incredibly beautiful. I hope you enjoy this as much as we did!
