In this video I'm showing how to install a reversing camera in any vehicle, though this example is in a Nissan NV200 van with an Android car stereo. This is a beginner's guide to installing a reversing camera, and will show how to use a parking camera, attach the red wire to a parking light bulb, where to hide cables in a car and how to fix a rear camera to a car.

Thanks to Carpuride for providing the reversing camera to make this video!

The 3.5mm Carpuride rear camera for W701 Plus and W901 Plus connects to an aftermarket digital dashboard, such as the Carpuride W901 Plus, which is one of the best aftermarket car touch screens.

The Carpuride rear camera shoots 720 HD footage, has a wideangle fisheye lens with a 170 degree filming angle and is waterproof and water resistant to an IP68 rating.

Installing a back-up camera is a fantastic way to get better visibility behind your vehicle. As I share how to install a rear dash cam, there are other options to consider, such as a 4k ultra HD rear view mirror camera, a 1080 Full HD rear dash cam or a quality wireless reversing camera which can use solar and use a license plate reversing camera and requires no wiring.

Connecting a reverse camera to a portable head unit, such as ones from the Carpuride range, avoids both reverse camera head unit wiring and makes it the easiest reversing camera which activates when using the reverse gear, as it has only one wire to attach. I used T-Tap connectors to join the wires together and in the video I show how to use T-Tap connectors. After the installation you will have an Android Auto parking camera.

This is a Nissan backup camera installation, specifically for the Nissan NV200, but it is also a DIY rearview camera install for all makes and models of cars and vans.

Fitting a reversing camera doesn't have to be a difficult task and a DIY parking camera is a really fun automotive project you can do yourself.

That said, if you're not sure how to wire a reversing camera, then ask a qualified mechanic to do a reversing camera installation UK.
