To live again and regain consciousness, the spirits of the dead needed to be reunited with new bodies. In 1 Corinthians 15, Paul explains that new spiritual or heavenly bodies would be given to the dead at the time of the resurrection. These bodies would be like the glorious body Christ had at his resurrection and like the bodies of the angels in heaven. Such bodies could be invisible, visible, intangible, or tangible as the Lord wills.
