As I'm sure all of you know, my cat Oreo was the eZine mascot and I miss her terribly. She was my special little cat.

I was not going to get another cat for a while, but some friends of ours who rescue cats told us that this kitten really needed a good home with lots of love. I could not say no.

I named him Montag*, but we usually call him Monty. He's a very sweet little guy; he is 4 to 5 months old.

One of my Patreons, Donna, sent Monty some cat toys. Among them are these little springs that you see in this video. (Thank you, Donna!)

Well, I was shocked and pleased to see that Monty likes to have me throw the spring, and fetch it like a dog fetches a ball. Then he brings it back and wants me to throw it again!

I thought you guys might enjoy seeing that. 😸

I will never forget Oreo. I think about her constantly. But Monty is doing my heart a lot of good. He's the new Bookhouse / eZine mascot. 🙂
