Meditation is like gardening for the mind. We must decide what to nurture and cultivate. This could be a feeling of acceptance, insight, or love. By intentionally resting the mind on positive thoughts and experiences, we can gradually grow these traits within ourselves. Over time, this practice leads to the development of peace, contentment, and connection, helping to reduce feelings of craving and unhappiness. It’s essential to reflect on what truly draws the heart and to meditate on those values.
After this meditation, Dr. Rick Hanson offered a talk on Practicing with Unprecedented Sources of Anxiety: https://rickhanson.com/meditation-tal... with-unprecedented-sources-of-anxiety/
