Pinball Purgatory is said by many to be the hardest SJ map, and those many are wrong. With this map, maya has managed to make bumper gameplay actually fun and enjoyable; it's even more impressive that it's done at such a high level. That's not to say it was always that way, as the first build of this map contained a 1:45 long GM+2 final room which was deemed to be TAS only - clearly, it's come a long way. This was the very first Strawberry Jam map I ever played when I joined the collaboration as a playtester, and it set a huge standard that few very maps ever overcame. My original playthrough took me something like 24 hours and 16,000 deaths, so hopefully I'm slightly better at the game now. The only bad thing about this map is the berry after the heart, which is just abysmal in every way: every downdash is a 1 frame input, all other inputs are 2 frame windows, and the removal of freeze frames is just kind of cruel. The rest of the map is near perfection, so don't let that berry alone turn you off - if there's one cracked map you play, let it be this. 9/10
