In 1894 Fabrés left Barcelona to go to Paris, which at the time was the world's great artistic capital. He was very well recognized. From there he traveled to Mexico in 1902. He remained true to his naturalist technique of painting and was greatly influenced by Fortuny, both of whom studied in Rome for their initial training and later the necessary move to Paris and fame. But Fabres was devoted to Barcelona and it is there we can rediscover this fine painter’s pictures.
