In one of the thickest fogs I have ever captured, the majestic 1000-foot MV American Integrity made a jaw-dropping appearance in Duluth, Minnesota. This self-discharging bulk carrier, built in 1978 by Bay Shipbuilding Company, is one of the thirteen 1000-footers in the Great Lakes fleet. Originally named Lewis Wilson Foy and later Oglebay Norton, it was renamed American Integrity in 2006 when it joined the great American Steamship Company!

In this video, you'll see the American Integrity as it emerges almost out of nowhere from the dense fog, passing under the iconic Duluth Aerial Lift Bridge. The visibility was so poor that even the nearby Lake Superior and harbor basin were completely obscured.
