Hazrat Dewana Baba
Buner is a lush green city of beautiful mountains and sight-seeing spots. Sadly, not many people know about this place due to lack of focus, investment and promotion by the government. Buner is called the land of saints as it houses the shrines of Hazrat Peer Baba and Dewana Baba. Hundreds of thousands of tourists and devotees from different parts of the country pay visit to these shrines every year.
The real name of Hazrat Dewana Baba is Muhammad Jan Yousafzai and he migrated from Kanjo Swat. History of Hazrat dewana Baba is not known but it is said that he is friend and Murid of Hazrat Pir Baba and spent 40 years with him in his Chela Gah at Pacha. People said that he is also a friend of another famous saint Akhun Darveza Baba. Akhun Darveza Baba was also a Murid of Pir Baba. The tomb of Hazrat Dewana Baba is on the south of the main road of Dewana baba. The town of Dewna baba is named after the name of great saint Hazrat Dewana Baba. The people of dewana Baba is very friendly and hospitable. Hazrat Dewana Baba died in 1453.
