Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has said he would include himself in the definition of “working people” his party has pledged not to raise taxes on.

The Labour Party’s manifesto says it will not raise taxes on “working people” but Sir Keir has faced questions about what that means in practice.

His party has already ruled out taxes including VAT, income tax and national insurance.
