In photography, exposure is the amount of light that reaches the camera's sensor or film. It is a crucial part of how bright or dark your pictures appear.
Exposure is determined by:
• Shutter speed
• Aperture
• ISO
You control exposure by adjusting the amount of light you let into the camera. With too much light your picture will be too bright or overexposed, not enough light, your picture will be too dark, or underexposed.
The right exposure is a balancing act.
