From start to finish, everything you'll need to know about painting Marines, with some tips which might prove useful to old hands as well as newcomers to the hobby. These basic methods will work for just about any Space Marine Chapter, as well as Ultramarines. All you need is to tweak the colour choices for the three stage drybrush and shade step, and there are a ton of extant How I Paint Things guides which should point you in the right direction if you need some suggestions there!

Ultramarines are cool. There, I said it! There was a time when Blood Angels were on the cover of Warhammer 40,000 and before them were the Black Templars, and they were always cool - just because they're 'on the box' doesn't mean they're not neat. Standard? Vanilla? Ultramarines are still made of the same gigantic slabs of Fightanium and Murderite as any other Space Marine, and set the standard in lore for years about what it meant to be to be proud Astartes before the arrival of certain authors on the scene and the point at which everyone regurgitated memes ceaselessly as fact... but I digress!
