I last visited RAF Swinderby in 2006. This former RAF Station looked in pristine order - a veritable 'Time Capsule' of how a period RAF installation would look. Sadly but inevitably that would change in the coming years when the entire site would be demolished to make way for a new Business Park.

This was how the former RAF Swinderby looked in 2022 to include still images, Dashcam footage and video segments. I also include in this video a brief look at RAF Cranwell and the International Bomber Command Centre in Lincoln.

Note: I have given the figure of 57,000+ for those who lost their lives serving with RAF Bomber Command (1939 - 1945). I cannot find an accurate figure of losses taking into account all incidents (Training, Airfield Accidents and Intruder Raid Casualties) where lives were lost..

Photo Credits: Images and Video segments were taken by me with dates shown where necessary.

Music Score: The RAF March Past by the Central Band of the Royal Air Force and keeping with the Military Music Theme, 'Officer of the Day March' and 'Sound Off Alert March' performed by the United States Marine Corps Band..
