Every list that ranks the best hot dogs in America will include Rutt's Hut on it. The iconic New Jersey restaurant has been serving rippers for several decades, called rippers because their hot dogs are deep fried in oil until they "rip" or burst open. America is already the hot dog capital of the world, and the Chicago style hot dog alone is a great achievement, so Chicago alone likely has many of the best hot dogs in the USA. But out of all the hot dogs in New York and Chicago, Rutt's Hut in Clifton, New Jersey consistently ranks as among the best hot dog stands in America and one of the best hot dog stands in the world. We set out today to see if Rutt's Hut truly is all it's cracked up to be and one of the best restaurants in New Jersey. We try the famous Rutt's Hut relish and the Rutt's Hut cheese sauce to go along with the deep fried dogs.
