Are NGOs a necessity? Mr. Guhan Subramaniam says that it’s a rhetorical question. NGOs are important as they permit citizens to promote values and achieve goals that are important to them while being independent from the government. He discussed how progress is measured and the challenges that NGOs face, be it ideation or prioritising quality over quantity. The fact of the matter is, the results outweigh the sacrifice, so it's no surprise that NGOs are here to stay, and anyone can flourish in this space with proper guidance and the will to excel. "I believe that the most important investment we can make today is in our children and their childhood!" says Guhan, one of the co-founders & a Director on the board of Key Education Foundation, a not-for-profit foundation focused on early childhood education.
He advises select businesses on growth strategies and capital infusion.
Guhan Subramaniam received his bachelor's degree in economics from Nowrosjee Wadia College of the University of Pune. He got his postgraduate degree in Business Management from the Symbiosis Institute of Management, University of Pune.
He was an active participating member on the board of 14 companies, 3 of which are listed on India's stock exchanges. He was a managing partner at IL&FS Private Equity, one of the largest private equity fund managers in India.
Guhan lives in Bangalore with his family and two adorable dogs. Guhan Subramaniam has over 40 years of experience. He is a man who fits the role of a leader, a man we could learn a lot from.
