On Wednesday 9th March, I sent one of Olight's 25,000-lumen X9R Marauders 23 miles above the earth into the inky-black vacuum and deathly-cold of near-space to see if it would work.

Set to 3,200 lumens, it stayed on for over four hours as it rose into the stratosphere, hit an altitude of 115,000 ft, and then plummeted back to earth encased in ice where it crashed into a 122ft-tall Beech tree.
