While Finance Minister Bill Morneau tabled the 2019 budget for the federal government of Canada, Conservative MPs protested in a move to keep the spotlight on the SNC Lavalin scandal as well as the Trudeau government’s inability to allow Former Attorney General Jody Wilson-Raybould the ability to give a fully detailed testimony.

NDP MP Nathan Cullen then stood on a Point of Order to ask that the House quiet down to allow MPs and Canadian viewers to hear about the budget being proposed by the Liberal government. As he made this point of order, House proceedings were further interrupted by an emergency amber alert.
