In her testimony as a deaf person who can hear, Paula explains how her hearing aids and, later, her cochlear implant helped her rediscover the sounds of the world. She also discusses how deafness affected her self-esteem and her relationships.
According to WHO, there are 1.5 billion people with some level of hearing loss worldwide. I'm Paula Pfeifer, profoundly deaf in both ears but I can every every single sound with two cochlear implants. I lead the largest online community of people with hearing loss in my country.
