We tried hard to make Cooler Master's Q500L case perform well, but we just couldn't pull it off. The Q500L is one of the worst thermal performers we've ever tested.

The Cooler Master Q500L is a mini-tower case that fits full ATX boards, for which Cooler Master gets full credit. The case is a modified version of the Q300L micro-ATX case, using much of the same tooling but with a relocated PSU. Cooling is a serious challenge in this case, so much so that even with 8-10 different fan, PSU, and orientation configurations, we still couldn't make the case any good for our system.
