Kim Kardashian is famed for her many ventures, and KKW was one of a long string of cosmetics brands helmed by Kim. However, because of the heavy comparisons to Kylie and cannibalised market space, the brand failed, only to be sold to Coty a few years later for a very small amount of money (not the $200 million that many sources cite). However, that deal with Coty is far more than meets the eye after you realise KKW was actually sold for less than 10% of what the media claimed, suggesting quite heavily that the value of the brand had been inflated to protect the Kim Kardashian name from looking like it was the face of yet another failed company
