What would it be like to have someone you love suddenly turn on you? How would it feel to have someone who you've always trusted to suddenly threaten you and for you to actually worry that they meant it?

Such is the troubling reality of the addiction that so consumed the life of Cory Roussel, as his older brother Landon recounts in Story Time for Grown Ups, a weekly space in Austin, Texas for adults to share their stories. In this story, Landon recounts the hurt that his brother's addiction to drugs and alcohol caused him, resulting in

Eventually, however, despite such hurt, as Landon recounts, he and his brother Cory are eventually able to walk the historic Way of St James, El Camino de Santiago. On this pilgrimage through the mountains of Asturias, he is able to reunite with his brother after over ten years of separation wrought by his brother's drug use. As they walk together, he comes to find that the rugged harshness of the Primitive Way, El Camino Primitivo, is not nearly as much of a challenge to overcome as are the wounds of a hurtful past wrought by his brother's addiction.

If you find the story interesting, consider reading the speaker's book, "On the Primitive Way," (http://www.OnthePrimitiveWay.com) in which he chronicles in detail him and his brother's story of addiction
